Support with Wellbeing and Weight Loss
The questionnaires help me to identify your main health concerns or health goals and any symptoms that you experience. The food diary helps to give me an insight into your current eating habits and will highlight your main areas of focus.
These are to be completed and returned before your consultation so that you can get the most out of your appointment.
The initial consultation lasts for roughly 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how much detail there is to discuss. During your consultation we will discuss the information and health goals from the questionnaire in further detail. We will discuss your eating habits, current routine, and the biggest challenges you face when making dietary changes.
We will talk through the focus points of your nutrition plan during the consultation and then I will send the full plan to you afterwards. The nutrition plan might involve increasing, introducing, or reducing certain foods. I may also suggest removing a particular food if I feel that this could be causing you certain symptoms.
There may be times when bigger alterations in your eating habits are needed. These could be short term interventions or longer-term suggestions. I’m always open and flexible to individual circumstances and will consider what works best for you.
There may be circumstances when I suggest nutritional supplements to support you alongside your nutrition plan. Nutritional supplements can be beneficial to help address imbalances and promote optimal health.
I may also recommend functional testing for more specific information, which can help highlight the cause of your symptoms. This helps me to provide you with a more targeted nutrition plan. The cost of testing and supplements are not included in the price and they always remain optional.
If you are not following a weight loss programme, I advise to book a follow-up appointment around 6-8 weeks after your initial consultation, which lasts approximately 30-45 mins. In the follow-up consultation we will discuss whether the plan is working, if any changes or additional recommendations are needed, and any new health concerns or goals.
If you need further support then you can arrange additional follow-up appointments, where we can continue to tailor your plan to you.
If you are following a weight loss programme, then you will have an initial consultation, 2-3 follow-up appointments, and check-in phone calls in between consultations. The check-in calls are to discuss how your progress is going and for you to ask any questions.
